Built from industry experience
Although Galvmac is just three years old, its founders brought decades of experience in traffic management, civil engineering and highway maintenance. Financial leadership from Barry Gill supports steady growth, while operations director Phill Lewis joined after evaluating repair methods in Durham. Testing the technology in real-world conditions created the framework for ongoing contracts.
Expanding reach across UK roads
Starting with a single specialist vehicle and its first industrial contract in 2022, Galvmac now runs 11 dedicated repair crews. Its operations span from Moray in northern Scotland to Hampshire in the south. Clients include local councils such as Durham, Hampshire, Northumberland and Lincolnshire, as well as contractors like Balfour Beatty and M Group.

From one vehicle and a handful of employees, Galvmac now employs about 40 people. The company has invested in fleet expansion, vehicles refurbishment and operational systems to deliver consistent quality across a wider area.
