Jimmy Anson has taken on the role of General Manager at DELTABLOC UK Ltd, bringing over 20 years of experience in the highways and vehicle restraint systems sector. His background covers operational management, commercial strategy, project delivery and business leadership.
Anson began his career installing vehicle restraint systems on UK highways projects. He has advanced through contracts management, quantity surveying, regional operations and senior commercial roles to managing director level. This experience provides him with insight into installation demands and the commercial challenges faced by suppliers in the sector.
Building on temporary and permanent barrier markets
DELTABLOC UK is expanding its position in temporary and permanent precast concrete barriers. Anson aims to grow the business sustainably and increase market share across its product and services portfolio.
"It is a privilege to join DELTABLOC UK and work with a team committed to improving road safety," says Anson. "I aim to establish DELTABLOC as the number one choice in both temporary and permanent barriers through long-term growth."
Opportunities in major UK highways programmes
Anson steps in during a period of significant investment in the strategic road network, backed by RIS3, SDF2 and Maintenance and Renewal (M&R) programmes. These initiatives span numerous projects focusing on network renewal and safety improvements.
"These programmes represent an important opportunity for suppliers ready to support consistent, high-quality delivery," he explains. "DELTABLOC is well positioned to play a key role within these evolving frameworks."
Innovation through real-time data monitoring
Alongside its established barrier systems, DELTABLOC continues to develop solutions tailored to the needs of road operators. One such system is TAMDATA, which delivers live data on vehicle movement within traffic environments.
This system offers operators real-time insights on traffic behaviour. It helps inform better decision-making to improve safety on UK roads.
Anson notes, "TAMDATA exemplifies DELTABLOC's commitment to combining engineering expertise with data-driven approaches. It supports safer networks and aligns with our goal to provide a smarter, more responsive range of products."
Leadership for sustainable growth
Jimmy Anson's appointment strengthens DELTABLOC UK's leadership as the business targets sustainable growth and enhanced customer collaboration. His combined commercial and operational experience positions DELTABLOC to meet the demands of UK highways programmes and evolving market needs.
With a focus on increasing market share and developing new safety solutions, Anson will support DELTABLOC's role in temporary and permanent precast concrete barrier markets across the UK.
