Shropshire Council has extended its highways maintenance partnership with Kier, building on a successful collaboration that has delivered improved road conditions across the county.
The extended contract, worth an estimated £150 million over the next seven years, will see Kier continue to deliver highway maintenance, improvement works, and winter maintenance services.
The partnership has already delivered significant improvements, including a 15% reduction in potholes and a 20% improvement in road condition scores since the contract began.
"This partnership has been transformative for our highway network," said Shropshire Council's portfolio holder for highways. "Extending it was an easy decision given the results we've achieved together."
