Chris Southgate will become Chief Executive Officer of WJ Group later in 2026, taking over from founder Wayne Johnston.

His background includes senior roles at Barratt & David Wilson, Scottish and Newcastle, and Kwik Fit. This experience spans construction and infrastructure sectors, with a record in sustainable business development.

Established in 1987, WJ Group started as a small local contractor. It has grown into a national provider of road safety and highway marking services, working across UK and international markets. The company delivers infrastructure solutions designed to protect road users and communities.
