HTM has joined the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) to strengthen collaboration between local authorities and the highways supply chain.
LCRIG brings together the Department for Transport, councils and industry to address challenges in road infrastructure.
Working together at LCRIG
HTM runs multiple Term Maintenance Contracts across the UK. The company sees LCRIG membership as a platform to exchange ideas and explore emerging technologies that improve operational standards and road safety.
HTM’s Head of Business Development, Danny Thorn, will attend the LCRIG Innovation and Learning Festival. This event features live technology demonstrations and high-level networking focused on the highways sector.
Engaging local authorities and suppliers
Thorn says joining LCRIG is a logical step for HTM. Experience from TMC contracts shows that collaborative thinking produces better results on the road network.
He adds that involvement with LCRIG will help HTM bring new ideas into its depots nationwide, improving service delivery.
Shaping tomorrow’s standards
HTM’s membership aligns with its “Streets Ahead” vision, which seeks safer and more efficient traffic management solutions.
By participating in LCRIG’s regional and national working groups, HTM aims to influence future standards and practices across UK highways.
