The Lancashire Business View Award, the highest honour at the Red Rose Awards, went to Multevo on 12 March at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens. The event gathered over 1,000 guests to celebrate business achievement across 24 categories with more than 100 entrants.
Two categories, one top prize
Multevo reached the finals in both the Built Environment and Large Business categories. Local business experts selected finalists through an interview process before the award ceremony. Judges highlighted Multevo’s growth from a four-person start-up to a 450-strong organisation delivering infrastructure solutions across England.
Organisers selected the Lancashire Business View Award from all category winners to close the evening’s event.
Growth backed by local investment
The company has grown rapidly, adding over 100 jobs locally in 2025, increasing its workforce by 134%. Multevo’s Darwen headquarters expanded from 600 sq ft to a 2.5-acre site, including a dedicated Mercedes-Benz Specialist Truck Service Centre and operational depot.
This growth has been supported by long-term public sector partnerships and investments in road repair and maintenance technology.
Impact on Lancashire highways
Multevo’s work with Lancashire County Council aims to improve local road maintenance. Their approach prioritises permanent, first-time repairs, resulting in a 42% reduction in outstanding defects on council-maintained routes.
Community commitment
Alongside commercial success, Multevo supports the Blackburn with Darwen Youth Zone as a Gold Patron. The company contributed to the development of a new youth facility in Darwen by providing groundworks, drainage and civil engineering services over a year.
The new youth zone will offer a safe venue for young people to socialise and develop skills. Multevo’s early financial and practical involvement helped attract wider local business support for the project.
Looking ahead
Marketing Director Josh Sweeney said the award reflects Multevo’s Lancashire roots and team dedication. Marketing Manager Aimee Dewse added that the recognition comes at a pivotal moment as the company plans to create 74 more local jobs in 2026 and introduce four new service innovations.
The Red Rose Awards have marked business achievement in Lancashire since 2011, with an annual ceremony held at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool.
